Many thanks to all friends of Two Bridges Community School for the love, support and all that you have given to make the children’s school life worthwhile. We can see many honest smiles and faces showing hope in the last few weeks. Great things as listed below wouldn’t have happened without you.

Some locally made seats and planks have helped the children to write more easily.

Teachers are more settled in and they are fully engaged in the running of the school.

Parents have noticed the positive change and they are more involved in their children’s learning and have become part of the school community, meetings are well attended.

Three-quarters of the Nursery building now has windows and doors.

The children have planted some grass in the school playground.

A chicken house has been built with three hens and a cock.

Children made Christmas cards for sale in order to fundraise for the water system.

A well-wisher sponsored the two Directors to visit the Holy Land in October 2015. The children received a school bell from the trip.

Harriet has continued to network in the UK and as a result, Two Bridges has one Primary School and an Independent School as its partners and we hope many more will join this amazing network.

Freyja Lee has been very active to ensure that four children remain in school by getting sponsorship for a further year and also supplying projects and materials for craft classes and some clothing.

The children had their first local trip visiting the river Mayanja which is 15min walk from the school. They then had a bigger trip visiting Kampala city, the Parliament, the National Theatre, the National hospital, the new Victoria mall, the Zoo and Basena Agro Creativity Centre.
